Companion, five messengers by Bertil Vallien. Throughout history, people have surrounded themselves with objects said to possess more power than “ordinary” items. A stone, a piece of bone, a beautiful icon. Objects that are not only a feast for the eyes, but also forge a kind of bond of friendship. For Kosta Boda, Bertil has created something similar; he calls the collection Companion. Friends, colleagues. Faces in shifting colors and with five different messages: Yes. Hope. Love. Peace. Blues. These little messengers can be hung on the wall where they’re needed most—as reminders that our time also has faces other than those of evil and war.
